Help Shape Aotearoa New Zealand’s First Hearing Health Strategy

The National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NFDHH), alongside its Board and member organisations, has developed the first draft of a National Hearing Health Strategy for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is informed by sector expertise and lived experience.

While NFDHH has initiated this work and supported the development of the draft, we do not see ourselves as owning or controlling it. This reflects our commitment to a genuinely co-designed process. We offer this draft for your consideration and warmly invite your input as we work together to shape a strategy we can collectively stand behind.

This draft strategy marks a major step toward making hearing health a national priority. We now invite the wider community and stakeholders to help shape the final strategy.
