Sign for Change is a national movement to make Aotearoa more inclusive for Deaf people.
By taking part, you’ll do something practical, visible, and meaningful—learning one NZSL sign a day and helping make New Zealand Sign Language part of everyday life.
Why join?
NZSL is one of Aotearoa’s official languages, yet it is not widely used in everyday life.
Sign for Change gives people a simple way to take action—building awareness, learning practical skills, and helping create a more inclusive society.
Your involvement also supports the work of the National Foundation for Deaf & Hard of Hearing, including programmes, advocacy, and initiatives that increase accessibility and inclusion across Aotearoa.
