Our History

Founded in 1978, NFDHH grew from grassroots advocacy into a nationwide organisation supporting thousands of New Zealanders each year.

While our reach has expanded, our focus has remained the same: listening to community voices and responding with practical, evidence-informed solutions shaped by lived experience.
