World Hearing Day

World Hearing Day is a global reminder that hearing health matters at every stage of life. Held each year on 3 March, it shines a spotlight on the importance of protecting hearing, recognising changes early, and creating communities where everyone can stay connected.

At the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Foundation, World Hearing Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of the everyday impact hearing loss can have on communication, confidence and wellbeing. As part of this year’s awareness activity, we delivered school screening programmes, Game On sessions, workshop presentations, retirement village outreach, and hearing checks for staff and parents at Plunket sites across Auckland.
